Sew Alongs & Quilt Alongs

Sewing and quilting are more fun with friends! If you’re looking to sew along with a group from the comfort of your own home check this sew-along and quilt along directory for your next project!

There are almost as many types of quilt alongs as there are fabrics. With a little bit of luck you’ll find one that’s prefect for you!

One big split is between free and paid sew alongs.

Free sew longs are exactly that, free to join. Paid sew alongs will require you to purchase the pattern or book used for the sew along.

Another big split is between Mystery quilts and non-mystery quilts. When you join a mystery quilt along you’re going in blind.

Sometimes you’ll have an idea of a theme (like the holiday sew alongs from Fat Quarter Shop) and sometimes it’s completely a mystery and the only info you’ll get is your fabric requirements!

The third big split is in the longevity of the sew-along. Some run for 4-6 weeks and others run for a full year or more.
