I love Christmas and I really love Christmas Countdowns. Mostly because I never know what day it is and it’s the best way I’ve found to make sure I know when to let the holiday panic set it. You don’t want to panic too early haha. Almost all of the DIY Christmas Countdown projects I’ve seen require buying 25 of something. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got enough stuff in my house! This tree count down is a step up from the basic paper chain, and while it can be a tiny bit tedious if you’re a perfectionist it’s easy enough to throw together.
We’re giving lots of photos as gifts this year. I was in Micheal’s checking out the frame sales when I found this metallic red frame (there were a few other colors and some with glitter but we stay away from that lest we have another Disco Baby incident). After a quick stop at in the scrapbook paper aisle I headed to check out with this holiday sign in my mind. Yes, for once, something actually turned out like I had imagined!

I love felt, it’s easy to work with, cheap and so very forgiving. Plus, no fraying! I’ve rounded up 14 amazing felt projects to add to your holiday decorating, everything from table top decor to tree trimmings.
Have you been hitting the sales? Mike, Mary and I ended up some black Friday shopping, we had to go buy wood shaving and stopped at Herb Phillipson’s for winter gloves on the way home. Mike says he’ll go with me to Michael’s tomorrow to buy picture frames for Christmas gifts but I might end up going it alone. If you happen to be out shopping the craft sales pick up a 4 pack of 6×6 canvases for this fun winter holiday silhouettes project.
