Kitchen Fail
Let me say, I make an awesome pie crust from scratch. I really do!
It was summer and we were living in a small apartment while I was in college. After some *ahem* bragging I decided to make him a pie.
It was terrible.
Awful.
The whole process was a nightmare! The crust wouldn’t roll, it was soggy before I even got the filling into the shell. Yeah, lot bragging rights for a while on that one. I know why the pie crust was a failure, it was way to hot in the apartment and the butter was melting as I was mixing.
So my advice, don’t make pie crust in 100% humidity and 90 degrees.
One more kitchen fail, also involving pie.
I made an apple pie when I was in high school and I didn’t peal the apples.
Apparently people don’t like to floss with their apple pie…
Guess they should make their own pies

So good to know I am not alone…but we learn from these mistakes. And floss or not I bet that apple pie tasted good
I made that same apple pie! It was pretty yummy otherwise, if I do say so myself.
Oh don’t feel bad, my first pie was an epic fail too! Maybe that’s the way its supposed to go?? A few years ago I made a beautiful blueberry pie for my husband, complete with hearts cut out of dough for the top. As I was taking my beautiful creation out of the oven, I burned my hand. Dropping the pie and blueberry went EVERYWHERE! I cried in the livingroom while my poor husband had to clean it up. Not quite what I had in mind
Still have yet to try making another.
